Sorry for I have the least idea on the "social work" department. I hope you can get what you want in the near future, however. (SET YOUR OWN SMART GOAL FOR THAT.)

As for the interview, just show your "heart" to them. Of course, some proofs are also neccessary. (i.e. some certs for voluntary works should definately an advantage.)

As for the comparison between BU and CityU, I suggest that the BU is more "academic", while CityU is more practical.

    Some of my students complained that I am too emotional in classes. If so, I do appologise for that. And, I am willing to improve myself.

    But I never express my emotion without reason. I do have a high expectation from my students. I want every student of mine is undergoing life improvement. That's from my heart.

    In fact, I am not a "new" teacher anymore. I do and did remind myself everyday. I add value to my students every lesson.

    Hope all of my students will learn about that.

我在瀏覽閣下的網頁時，發現您曾修讀不少有關哲學和社會學的課程，而我亦對這兩方面
的學科有興趣，現正考慮好不好在香港的大學修讀這方面的學科，故希望能聽一聽閣下的

我正在香港理工大學修讀社會工作學士學位課程，因當中涉及部分有關社會學和哲學等課

由於始終未知香港那間大學在這兩科的質素較好，亦未知自己的成績及能力等是否附合各
校要求，所以我實在有點手足無措。

府的錢，倒不希望將來前途太過暗淡...所以想多問一下這兩科的出路大概如何?收入又大
約如何?

雖然我實在是為興趣而讀社會學或哲學，但我實在不能不面對現實生活的經濟及父母方面
的壓力......
所以，我從閣下網頁得知您在這些方面有不少資歷，故希望能為小弟解答一下這些苦惱問

Marc,

       First of all, I would like you to know two things. First, the training of the university is NOT necessarily only for vacation. Second, sociology and philosophy are both NOT for "practical" or "earning money" purpose. Therefore, one can learnt a lot for these subjects, train their analytical mind and thinking ability, BUT not having any gurantee for jobs.

      When compared the four universities - HKU, CU, BU, & LU, I think that the academic level of CU is the best among the four. Each of the other universities has its own strengthen areas and specialisms, however. It depends on what you want... ...

      Sociology and philosphy are both NOT easy subject. Once, you get into them, however, you will be fascinated by them!

Basically, Lee's idea of "九一主義" is "absolutely" not related to Descates's idea. The former is just a way of thinking that "ease" one's mind when one is in an "inferior" situation. That is - every "rank" and "position" within a group is of "equal importance". Everyone is "unique" in the world.

As for the idea of "I think, therefore I am". It's an inference which was made by Descates to prove the "ontological" ground of the meta-physics.

um .I would like to ask for tour advice,
books recommended for the following tropics:

Group dynamics ,

actually , I am quite clear that I am not managed to be a leader in many cases. I admore those people who can distribution the workload . um .if you ask me do I have the power to finish the work by myself , I can undoubtedly answer you , yes , I am sure that I can prepare and complete the work well. But in a group work, I find it difficult. (although I seem to be an easy-going person and many of my workmates like me in the leisure time, when we come to working, it is always a different story )

I know my problem, i.e. , I am not able to give instructions, I know being a good leader, he/she should be able to distribute ....the right task to the right person, but .....I think that I don't know trust them much and I always .....keep an eye on it , and so make them feel uncomfortable,
or in other cases, many people think that I complete them better than them , so they dare not to do it, um ......

I am crystal clear that being a leader is not a person doing all the things , but .difficult to ...
so , want to seek advice and learn sth from book , wholeheartedly thanks for your coming reply !

Thanks for your message again! First of all, I would like to tell you. Group dynamics is a "done" and "practical" thing. Not necessarily on some theories. Therefore, reading books is not a "must"

Second, there are many types of "leadership". Such as leading, co-ordinating, and coaching. You may pick up your own style of "leading".

As for book suggestion, I think you can simply check with the Student Affair Office, or the library. Just choose the one that match your own taste.

刁難之意, 可惜最後一堂, 吾因公事缺席, 故此還有問題一直留待
心中。及後數月, 只能在書店購買書籍, 作為研讀之用。
    最近看了兩本漫畫書, "佛洛伊德" 和 "榮格", 書中敘述了很多
有關心理學的內容, 其中很多地方, 是十分慨論, 很哲學性, 很難
明白, 但又好像很根本, 很基礎的東西, 看來似懂非懂, 未可切底
貫通。
    如要明白這些問題, 是否與人生資歷、閱歷及經歷有關呢 ?
也就是說當我越年長, 人生經歷越多, 才會看得明白 ? 還是另找
其他更根本的書籍呢 ?

It is not easy to understand Freud and Jung, they are famous difficult writers. You can read my book "夢‧意‧識" at the first place. Think and make more observations in daily life. And, take my course on "Unconsciousness" (SCS CU)...

你好! 我是"心理學入門"的學生, 有一些問題想請教你.

為什麼人總希望得到認同? 例如"埋堆"就是其中一種方式, 我們該從哪一個aspect去分析這種心理? 就你所說的6個層面, 我嘗試去應用, 但想來想去也想不通...... 是否我這條問題有所偏差? 或是這是人的天性(biological aspect)?

另外, 你不斷提醒我們, 心理學只可以作為分析用途, 即使知道亦不可以改變, 但例如你又說在behavioral aspect 中, 可在 s-r model 內加入其他東西來改變它們的既定模式, 這不是心理學上的去改變某些已知事實嗎?

最後, 我覺得有時那些分析好像很自圓其說, 解釋不到的, 就不正常? 如何去界定分析不到, 還是不正常, 甚至是病態? 難道沒有一些我們解釋不到的嗎? 若有的話,那我們又該如何處理這些情況?

可能我的問題有點混亂, 因為我覺得我還未能掌握其重點, 希望你能盡量解答及矯正! 謝謝!

       Human psychology is much much complicated than you think! For such kind of case, she may have some deficit on her psychology. She may try to seek some "painful" (precious) memories for her life.

   hi~ it's me again. I forget I have something about a dream to ask u.
   Actually, I always have dream when I'm sleeping. No matter I sleep for 5 mins or a whole night, I also have dreams.
   last night, I had a dream and I think that this maybe can explain my 性格. In the dream, I saw I m on a mountain (the mountain is white in colour but I'm not sure whether it is snow or not). Anyway, I know that this mountain is very dangerous. All people must have to find a partner to cross this mountain and all people have to cross the mountain before the evening.
   Then, I was finding some people to be with me. And then I saw some couples. Because they are couple, they are not alone, so they can begin to cross the mountain. I m still searching someone to go with me. Then, I think of my boyfriend, but I can't find him. I don't know where is he.......and then I woke up.
   sir, I want to ask does this dream want to reflect something ? or reflect my 性格 ? Anything u can tell me about this dream ?

Dreaming is just a normal integrated part of sleeping. No worry!
Basically, your hobby (i.e. traveling) and dreams also reflect that you do want to live a care free life. You do not have confidence to do so, however.
You do think that your boyfriend "may" NOT be the "right" guy to you.
If you don't mind, when I talked something on dreams in class, you can ask me directly. And, I will teach you how to interpret your own dreams as well.

Dear Andy,

      No matter what and how the situation is, up-grading oneself is a "MUST" in a "knowlege Society". Therefore, continue or further one's study is a "option" for that purpose. When you choose what to study. Ask two questions yourself. First, what is your main purpose for that? Second, what is your interest (or interested areas)? As for me, I will take some course for interest at the first place, while "practical reason" comes the second.

     Hope you satisfy with my answer! Be confidence to yourself! And, live with your decision once you decided!

      All the books I recommended in the list are marked with "*". One * stand for easy and fundamental! If there is two * , it will be with a little difficulty...
      If you want to take NLP, I highly recommend Keith To's one at St.James Settlement. He is so good at teaching this, and the price is good. (Go to the website part I recommend, you can check this out!)

It\'s not an easy question. You may read some books on \"abnormal psychology\", or even \"mental illness\". (Those from Taiwan are okay.)

And, if you want to check one\'s mental condition out, you can look at one\'s eyes. Basically, the patient of mental illness has some special eyes movement pattern...

     I suggest you take those certificates of the SPACE HKU too. They are all good. After that, you can take some diploma, degree, and even master degree....

     And, if you are interested in some practical and professional aspects of psychology, you can consider the \"certificate of youth conselling\" at SPACE HKU. It\'s good as well.
